Sunny Leone couldn’t believe that Shah Rukh Khan wanted her in ‘Laila Main Laila’

At the success party for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Raees', Sunny Leone was visibly delighted by the audience response to her hit item number 'Laila Main Laila'.

When asked what she thought about getting a chance to feature in a rehash of the hit song - 'Laila O Laila' - and with none other than King Khan, Sunny said, "Daniel (her husband) had this huge smile on his face, and I knew something good was going to happen. He got off the phone and told me that SRK wanted me to do a song in 'Raees'. I was in complete disbelief! "
To this, Shah Rukh said, "That's too much praise for me. We all wanted you to be in that song. We love that you're in the song. In fact, the video has a lot going in it. I am doing some 'bad things', but I felt that I should leave all aside and rather just dance with Sunny on 'Laila'."

The success party was a non-alcoholic affair, contrary to the flavour of the film, where Shah Rukh's character plays a liquor bootlegger in the prohibition-era Gujarat of 80s.

The film released last week on January 25, alongside 'Kaabil' starring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam. 'Raees' has managed to keep a stronghold on the box-office, even in the face of stiff competition.

Yet to play a character close to my persona said "Huma Qureshi"

Actress Huma Qureshi says she has never played a character which is close to her personality.

"I am yet to play a character which is close to my persona but I enjoy that. As an actor, playing different roles that are quite opposite of your own personality is fun," Huma, who is sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar in her upcoming film 'Jolly LLB 2' said.
Talking about her character in the black comedy, the actress said, "Pushpa Pandey is a girl from a middle class family who is fun, mad, has her own quirks and she keeps fighting with her husband Jolly, who is the 19th Assistant of a lawyer!"

When asked how is she in real life, she said, "Oh, I am so cluttered in my personal life. I am very inelegant who doesn't wear high-heels and a bookworm and movie buff. And I am very outspoken too." Huma said she is busy reading George Orwell's

Watch: Kiddie fan wins over Anushka Sharma by singing ‘Jag ghoomeya’ from ‘Sultan’

Bollywood beauty Anushka Sharma enjoys a large fan following, especially after delivering back-to-back hits like 'PK', 'NH10', 'Sultan' and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'.

The star, who was recently shooting for Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan campaign, was pleasantly surprised to meet a talented young fan on the sets.

According to reports, the young girl was a die-hard Anushka fan and was eager to meet the actress. On hearing about the same, the star called the girl over for a personal interaction.

Much to Anushka's surprise, the girl serenaded her by singing the 'Sultan' romantic track, 'Jag ghoomeya'. Thoroughly impressed with this sweet gesture, Aushka hugged the girl and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Infosys, TCS, Wipro techies set to suffer as H-1B visa reform bill is tabled in US House of Representatives

President Donald Trump is set to sign a new executive order aimed at overhauling work visa programmes like the H-1B and L1, a move that will adversely hit the lifeline of Indian tech giants, including Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro and professionals in the US.

The executive order drafted by the Trump Administration not only strangulates H-1B and L1 visas, but also increases inspector raj and ends employment authorisation cards to spouses on such work visas, which was recently introduced by the previous Obama Administration.

The draft of the order was leaked and published by some news websites yesterday.

"I think with respect to H-1Bs and other visa is part of a larger immigration reform effort that the President will continue to talk about through executive order and through working with Congress," White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters at his daily news conference.

"You've already seen a lot of action on immigration and I think whether it's that or the spousal visas or other type of visas, I think there's an overall need to look at all of these programmes. You'll see both through executive action and through comprehensive measures a way to address immigration as a whole and the visa programme," Spicer said.

As per the leaked draft order, Trump would reverse former president Barack Obama's extension of the duration of the optional practical training work visas, which allowed foreign students to stay in the US a bit longer after completion of their studies.

Within 90 days of the signing of the executive order, the Secretary of Homeland Security would have to review all regulations that allow foreign nationals to work in the US and determine which of those regulations violate the immigration laws or are not in the national interest of America.

It would also immediately terminate all parole policies.

The executive order will also ask the Secretaries of Labour and Homeland Security to restore the integrity of employment-based non-immigrant worker programmes and better protect US and foreign workers affected by these programmes.

The draft order seeks the administration to "consider ways to make the process of allocating visas more efficient and ensure that beneficiaries of the programmes are the best and the brightest."

It also proposes to establish a commission or advisory committee to analyse the nation's current immigration policies and their impact on the American society, economy, work force, and the foreign policy and national security interest of the United States.

The H1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to employ foreign workers in speciality occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise in specialised fields. The technology companies depend on it to hire tens of thousands of employees each year.

During his campaign, President Trump promised to increase oversight of our H-1B and L-1 visa programmes.

A Dinner In Pakistan That Has Indian Agencies Worried

New Delhi, Jan 30: A dinner hosted by the Lashkar-e-Taiba in Islamabad has yet again reiterated the fact that Pakistan has done little to curb terror groups.

The dinner was hosted for the leaders of the Muslim World League by the chief of the LeT, Hafiz Saeed. The Muslim World League is an NGO based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia that propagates Islamic teachings specifically Wahhabism.

The dinner was also attended by leaders of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Jamaat-e-Islami and Ansar ul Ummah. All these groups are on the ban list for propagating religious extremism.

The meeting according to officials was held to discuss ways of spreading the Wahabi culture. Some groups in Saudi Arabia have been actively propagating religious extremism. The Wahabi culture which is also followed by the Islamic State is spreading at a rapid pace in India as well.

Intelligence Bureau officials have cautioned against the spread of Wahhabism especially in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Maharashtra.

Officials in India say that that the dinner held on Saturday clearly shows that Islamabad has failed to crack down on any of the terrorist groups. "It was a brazen act that took place right under the nose of the Pakistan officials and they have not been able to curb terror related activities," the Intelligence Bureau official informed.

'Hope Donald Trump Imposes Visa Ban On Pakistan' Says Imran Khan

LAHORE:  Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, on Sunday, said he hopes US President Donald Trump imposes visa restrictions on Pakistan as he believes that the move would help Pakistanis develop their own country.

"It is being heard that Pakistanis may face US visa restriction. I pray that Trump also stops visas for Pakistanis as I believe that it will help us develop our own country.

Besides, we will also give him (Trump) Iran-like response... (not allowing Americans here in Pakistan," Imran said while addressing a party rally in Sahiwal, some 250km from Lahore.

Taunting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for going abroad for treatment, Imran said, "Nawaz Sharif goes abroad even for the treatment of headache. If the US imposes ban (on Pakistanis) he too will focus Pakistan and develop it."

Talking about Indo-Pak ties, Mr Khan said, "I want to remind (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi that every Pakistani is not coward like Nawaz Sharif. We are peaceful nation and even in India majority does not want war with Pakistan."

He also criticised Mr Sharif for hiding behind his children to cover up his corruption.

"I feel sympathy for Maryam Nawaz because her father (Nawaz Sharif) has brought her forward to hide his own corruption in Panama case," he said and vowed to fight against Sharif family's corruption till his last breath.

How to Continue Your Small Business Success, even in Tigher Budget

After the holidays, budgets are tighter, consumers are exhausted and it can be hard to make the idea of shopping again appealing at all.

The holidays are an extremely profitable time of the year for businesses of all sizes. After all, they can account for 20-40 percent of a business’ yearly sales.
But what about after the holidays? Budgets are tighter, consumers are exhausted and it can be hard to make the idea of shopping again appealing at all.

Don’t let your marketing efforts go stale in the post-holiday shopping season. Your consumers are tired, but they’re still keeping an eye out for the next appealing product or service. Here’s what you can do to keep your business’s holiday success going.

Keep the sales rolling
After the holidays, there might be one or two too many zeros on your consumers’ credit cards, so getting them to shop is difficult, but not impossible.

The best way to keep consumers interested is to keep the sales coming. A lot of post-holiday shoppers have gift cards or newly gifted cash to spend. Or, they might have a gift or two they’d like to exchange for something else. Continuing your great deals will only encourage consumers to stop by your business first.

You’ll also want to shift the mentality of your marketing message. The holidays are all about shopping for friends and loved ones. But after that? It’s time to encourage your consumer to find gifts for themselves.

Market to that consumer mindset by capitalizing on the idea of self-gifting. Consumers have spent the past few weeks running around and worrying about everyone else, so letting consumers know it’s time to focus on themselves will be a nice change of pace.

Retarget your customers and shopping cart abandoners
A lot of people shop around for the holidays, which means they might add a lot to a cart and never convert. Maybe they just weren’t ready to purchase, or perhaps they couldn’t justify a gift for themselves when they had to buy for others.

Either way, take advantage of all the traffic that your website saw by retargeting those customers to remind them of the great products they wanted before. Remarketing is an extremely lucrative marketing strategy. Consumers who are retargeted are 70 percent more likely to convert, and it can increase shopping cart completion by 26 percent.

Plus, most consumers expect to be contacted about their abandoned shopping carts. Many of them like to see a special offer, such as a small percentage off, as encouragement to complete the purchase.

Market to the "New Year" attitude
Almost everyone makes some sort of vow to improve themselves at the beginning of the New Year, so take advantage of that mindset. A lot of people are looking to improve different areas of their lives, and almost anything can be marketed to the New Year’s attitude.

For example, if you sell kitchen appliances, you can market your products with the idea that cooking at home is not only cheaper, but also healthier. But it’s not all about fitness in the new year, either.

Maybe you’re a spa and you invite people to de-stress from the holidays with 25 percent off a massage, or you’re a mechanic who encourages car owners to start the year off right with a discounted oil change and inspection.

With a little creativity, anything can appeal to the “New Year, New You” mentality.

Send those emails
If you managed to collect email addresses over the holidays from consumers, it’s best to reach out to them sooner rather than later. The longer you wait, the higher the chance that they’ll forget about you.

Send an email out to any customers who have converted to ask them how their experience was and thank them for their business. If you have new loyalty sign-ups, offer them a discount. Craft your emails thoughtfully, and make the idea of coming back to shop with you again appealing by personalizing the experience.

Take advantage of the downtime
After the holidays, people are burned out. Christmas dinner is sitting heavy in everyone’s stomachs and wallets feel a little too light. Chances are, even with your best efforts the post-holiday shopping season will still be slower.

You can still use this time to your advantage, though. Take this downtime to reflect on your marketing efforts from the past year and plan ahead for the new year. What marketing tactics worked? Which ones didn’t?

Collect all of your analytics and start planning out what you want to expand on and improve. Maybe you want to try supporting a charity during the holidays. Perhaps you’d like to start your holiday marketing earlier. You might want to even focus on increasing your social media strategy so you can build a stronger online presence throughout the year.

Don’t waste this slower time waiting for the customers to come to you. Instead, use this time to plan out exactly what you can do to improve your marketing strategies to make this year the best one yet.

React to Trump Travel Ban by Facebook, Tesla, Uber, Apple and Others

Late last Friday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that temporarily suspended refugee admission to the U.S. and banned travel for citizens from 7 muslim-dominated countries from coming to the U.S.

The order impacts citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. The decision impacts travelers from these countries for at least 90 days even if they have valid visas or permanent residence permits.

Interpretation of the order has evolved since the order's signing. For instance, agencies changed position on whether green card holders from these countries were or weren't covered by the executive order.
As of Sunday, the government says it will try to ease this group's entry into the country, provided the traveler has no criminal background or terrorist ties.

Friday’s order also suspended a visa waiver interview program that made it easier for frequent travelers (including tourists and businesspeople) from 38 nations (countries such as Australia, France and Iceland) to come to the United States.

With the interview waivers suspended, this group will need formal one-on-one interviews at U.S. embassies to renew their authorizations, slowing travel.

Businesses -- including some of tech’s biggest names -- responded to the order with dismay and shock.

Some worried that the chaos seen at airports across the country this weekend would find its way to the technology sector, stifling innovation and the flow of ideas as the inconsistently interpreted order made it harder to predict who can enter or leave the United States.

Some founders called the ban immoral or un-American while others offered ways to help both refugees and their own workers and families. Still others, some on special advisory boards with the new administration, offered to find ways to fix the situation.

Roger Federer v Rafael Nadal: Australian Open men's final

Fifth set: Federer 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 3-6, 5-3 Nadal* (*denotes server): Federer cutely dinks a spinning, low backhand slice over the net from left to right, luring Nadal forward. Nadal can only send his forehand long. He’s coming under heavy fire now. Federer’s forehand is purring. Nadal’s forced to miss another and it’s 0-30. This is a huge point. Nadal double-faults! Federer has three break points! Nadal saves the first with a storming forehand down the line. He saves the second with a big serve that Federer sends long. He saves the third when Federer shanks a backhand return wide off a second serve! Unbelievable. It’s deuce. Then a point that takes us right back to Wimbledon 2008! It lasts an age, these two great old warriors throwing everything at each other, and it ends with Federer producing a peach of a forehand down the line to seize another break point. But Nadal is made of steel. A massive serve down the middle saves him, but Federer comes up with another inspired forehand to earn a fifth opportunity. This time, he returns brilliantly, a low crosscourt backhand forcing Nadal to spank a forehand into the net post! Federer breaks! He’ll serve for the title! His 18th grand slam title!

UP elections 2017: Amit Shah releases BJP manifesto, promises Ram temple, free internet data

The BJP will work to build the Ram temple in Ayodhya by finding a quick solution through legal means if voted to power in Uttar Pradesh, party president Amit Shah said on Saturday.

Releasing the party’s manifesto for the seven-phase assembly elections in UP, he addressed an emotive issue for the BJP’s predominantly Hindu electorate.

“The BJP is in favour of early construction of the Ram temple within the constitutional framework,” he said.

The controversy has been raging for decades since the demolition of the Ayodhya’s Babri mosque in December 1992. A range of Hindu organisations are seeking to build a Ram temple at the site, a case that is being heard by the Supreme Court.

“Temple and development aren’t contradictory,” Shah said.

The BJP, which is canvassing votes on a development agenda, promised to waive off loans of small and marginal farmers, distribute laptops to the youth, and offer free education up to class 12 for girls.

“Temple and development aren’t contradictory
The party pledged a fund of Rs 150 crore for agricultural development in the next five years, including a Rs 20,000-crore irrigation scheme that will put special focus on Bundelkhand, one of the poorest regions in the state that has been hit by back-to-back droughts.

“Will distribute laptops to youth with 1GB free Internet if voted to power in UP,” Shah said.

The BJP chief said 7 million jobs and self-employment opportunities would be created if the party forms the government.

Shah also raised the issue of alleged “palayan” or exodus of Hindus in some Muslim-majority towns of western UP, especially Kairana.

Top BJP leaders had ratcheted up the alleged Hindu migration from Kairana to attack the Samajwadi Party government in the state ahead of the assembly elections.

Shah said a BJP government in the state would hold district magistrates responsible for people fleeing their homes for fear of religious persecution.

The party chief appealed to the people to give his party a chance to work for the all-round development of UP, saying a BJP government will lift the state from its “bimaru” status, a euphemism for underdeveloped states.

“I appeal to the people to give us one opportunity and we promise to turn UP into a developed state,” Shah said.

The party promised in its manifesto that 10 new international-standard universities will be set up in the state, including one exclusive institute for higher studies on Sanskrit and the ancient Vedic systems.

Trying to catch the poor voter’s attention, the party promised a Rs 2 lakh insurance for each worker in the unorganised sector, free LPG cylinders to everyone below a minimum income cap, and piped cooking gas for urban UP.

The BJP promised 24-hour power supply across the state, with the poor paying just Rs 3 a unit if the metre reading doesn’t exceed 300 units.

Pushing the government’s commitment for women and the girl child, the BJP promised Rs 5,000 to each newborn daughter born to a poor family.

It will also launch a special drive to know Muslim women’s opinion on triple talaq. A debate rages in the country over abolition of the Islamic practice of a man divorcing his wife simply by uttering the word talaq thrice.

The party chief is credited for the BJP’s impressive show in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls when it won 71 of the 80 parliamentary seats in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah are spearheading the BJP’s campaign to regain power in UP, a politically crucial state from where it has been out of power since 2002.

Trump suspends US refugee programme and bans Syrians indefinitely

President Donald Trump has banned the entry of Syrian refugees into the US until further notice.

He has also halted the issuing of visas to the nationals of six other mainly Muslim countries, including Iran, Iraq, Yemen and Libya, for three months.

Mr Trump said the measures were part of new measures to "keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the US".

Rights groups have condemned the move, saying there is no link between Syrian refugees in the US and terrorism.

Under Mr Trump's wide-ranging executive order, all refugee admissions have been suspended for four months.

Mr Trump signed the order at the Pentagon after a ceremony to swear in Gen James Mattis as defence secretary.

During the ceremony, he said: "I'm establishing new vetting measures to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America. We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country and love deeply our people."

The text of the order was released several hours after it was signed. Among the measures are:

Suspension of the US Refugee Admissions Programme for 120 days

A ban on refugees from Syria until "significant changes" are made

A 90-day suspension on anyone arriving from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen, except certain visa categories such as diplomats

To prioritise future refugee applications from those persecuted for their religion - but only if the person is part of a minority religion in their home country

A cap of 50,000 refugees in 2017 - less than half of the upper limit under Mr Trump's predecessor, Barack Obama

However, a mention of creating "safe zones" within Syria, seen in an earlier draft, was removed from the final order.

The order also said all immigration programmes should include questions to "evaluate the applicant's likelihood of becoming a positively contributing member of society."

In a TV interview broadcast earlier on Friday, the president said Christians would be given priority among Syrians who apply for refugee status in the future.
